 :: Feeding Guidelines

Laying Birds

1. Breeder guidelines for target pullet weights should be checked on an on-going basis
2. Introduce Layers Pellets to pullets at least 2 weeks before onset of lay
3. 15% Layers Pellets are complete, balanced rations for laying hens. They are also recommended for Free Range systems. Desirable egg yolk colour and shell are enhanced by feeding these rations.

Broilers & Turkeys
1. Feed intake varies with strain of bird, environmental
conditions and management factors

Game Birds
1. Grain should only be introduced towards the end of the grower period, at the earliest possible time and up to a maximum of 25% of the daily feed allowance
2. Breeding stock should be maintained in good condition, but not allowed to become over fat.
