Notable Achievements: Individual Gold Medal at World Championships in Jerez, Spain, with Liscalgot in 2002, represented Ireland at the World Equestrian Games Kentucky, Grand Prix Qualifier in Aachen in 2013 resulting in winning a Mercedes, Winner of Millstreet Masters 1.50m riding Hallmark Elite, Winner of International Riders Pairs Relay at the Dublin Horse Show 2014, with National 128cms rider Francis Derwin.

Current String of Horses: Loughview Lou Lou, Calgot Pleasure, Vampire, and Corbeagh Luxor, Gelvins Touch, Valent.

Biography: Dermott is a member of the Irish showjumping team, a former Individual World Showjumping Champion and a European Team Champion. Dermott partnered a very successful mare, Liscalgot, and the pair were part of Irish teams that won a record of ten FEI Nations Cups from 1999 to 2000. 

In 2002, he recorded an Individual Gold Medal in the Showjumping World Championships, riding Liscalgot to victory again. This was Ireland's first ever win at the World Championship.

Dermott has represented Ireland on many occasions, the most recent in 2013, as he helped Ireland claim third prize at the Aga Khan.
